2026.01.23.
The first NIO dealership in Hungary has offically had it's opening event. With this milestone NIO and AutoWallis will take over sales and service of NIO and firefly models in Hungary from today onwards at the location on Váci street, Budapest.
The opening of the Budapest showroom represents an important step in NIO’s regional expansion strategy. Budapest serves as a strategic hub due to its central geographic position, strong automotive tradition and rapidly developing electric vehicle ecosystem. The city offers ideal conditions for introducing innovative premium electric mobility solutions to a growing user base in the CEE region.
At first, four smart & fully electric NIO models will be available for users: the mid-size sedan ET5, the tourer ET5 Touring, the all-round SUV EL6 and the flagship SUV EL8. In addition, the brand new firefly will also be available, a compact premium electric car for urban mobility.
As part of the festive opening ceremony, NIO celebrated a symbolic moment by completing its first user delivery in Hungary: Flagship Premium SUV NIO EL8 was handed over to its new owner, highlighting the model’s advanced electric performance, premium comfort and cutting-edge technology.
Annelies Reiss, Regional Brand Director of NIO Central Europe:
“We officially announced the market entry of NIO in Hungary at the end of last year, and as announced, we have now opened the showroom right on schedule. The opening of the official NIO AutoWallis showroom is a significant milestone for NIO in Hungary. We are very pleased that, from now on, we can offer our outstanding products through our great dealer partner. NIO combines technology, design and service into a holistic mobility experience. The aim is to make electric mobility not only more sustainable, but also more inspiring and individual. Now officially also in Budapest.”
