AutoWallis has opened Slovenia’s first dealership fully renovated according to the Retail.NEXT concept. BMW’s revamped dealership image pioneers a combination of personal and digital elements to create a fully customized, premium, yet sustainable customer experience. The Ljubljana showroom, which is Slovenia’s largest BMW and MINI dealership, is celebrating twice: five years after joining the AutoWallis Group, it is the first in a series of showrooms in Slovenia to reopen under the AutoWallis brand.

BMW’s new Retail.Next concept is much more than just an architectural renovation or modernized appearance. This new standard is a significant step toward more advanced, connected, and customer-centric operations. It also symbolizes the renewed integration of the BMW and MINI brands, which are once again presented in the same carefully designed environment, in one space. The concept combines a personal approach, state-of-the-art digital support and carefully designed elements to provide visitors with a more intuitive, intimate and memorable experience. The showroom is no longer just a place to display vehicles, but an experiential space where visitors can feel, discover and understand the brands. The Retail.Next project is not just creating a new showroom, but a new BMW brand experience based on the three fundamental pillars of modern mobility: personality, responsibility, and digital connectivity.

The relationship between BMW and AutoWallis in Hungary dates back more than three decades: the company acquired distribution rights in 1994 and opened the Bavarian brand’s first dealership in Budapest. Over the decades, the AutoWallis Group has become Hungary’s largest BMW dealer, which has also provided an excellent basis for international expansion: in 2020, the group’s first retail unit outside Hungary was a BMW dealership. The showroom in Ljubljana, which has now reopened after extensive renovation, laid the foundation for the acquisitions and successes of recent years in the country, further strengthening AutoWallis’ position in the regional retail market.

AutoWallis has been present in Slovenia since 2007 with its Distribution Business Unit, which now represents five brands: Jaguar, Land Rover, Opel, Farizon, and in 2025 XPENG also became part of the group. The Retail Business Unit entered the Slovenian market in 2020, which marked AutoWallis’ first retail activity outside Hungary at the same time, with the acquisition of Slovenia’s largest BMW dealership. Since then, the company now has BMW, Opel, Toyota, and Suzuki dealerships in five cities across the country, as well as exclusively operating MINI and Land Rover dealerships. These experiences provide comprehensive market knowledge and a perfect foundation for future growth.
