AutoWallis shifts into higher gear by better leveraging synergies between business lines

2025.10.15.

AutoWallis has moved to new offices. The leading integrated car and mobility service provider in the Central and Eastern European region has found a new home in the Liberty office building, located at one of the capital’s busiest transport hubs. The move is a significant step towards more efficient operations, which is an important part of the company’s announced doubling strategy. By bringing the company’s wholesale, retail, and mobility divisions, as well as the group’s management, under one roof, the synergies between them can be better exploited. Beyond business considerations, the move also entails an organizational transformation, AutoWallis, which has previously operated more as a group of companies, clearly seeking to transition to a corporate model. The functional and creative solutions of the new office, tailored to the company’s needs, currently provide a comfortable and inspiring working environment for the 400 employees working at AutoWallis, but the spaces have been designed with potential expansion in mind.

AutoWallis, the leading integrated car and mobility service provider in Central and Eastern Europe, has set up its new headquarters in the Liberty office building on Könyves Kálmán Boulevard, Budapest. It took the company a year and a half to plan, prepare, and execute the move, which was necessitated by the growing of the group and the need to increase operational efficiency. The new location is the Liberty office building, a new building developed by Wing, also part of the Wallis group, which, with its BREEAM Excellent rating and other ESG solutions, far exceeds the standards of today’s office market. The building is powered entirely by green electricity and has near-zero energy demand.

In line with AutoWallis’ ESG strategy, sustainable operation was a particularly important consideration when selecting the leased property. By eliminating travel between sites, not only time but also significant CO₂ emissions can be saved, so the move also contributes to achieving sustainability goals. During the move, attention was also paid to existing furniture, 95 percent of which will continue to be used at the new location, while the remaining pieces were given to employees or donated to charity.

With the new corporate headquarters, AutoWallis has reached another milestone in its doubling strategy. Bringing the business units under one roof can lead to significant operational savings, increased efficiency, shorter decision cycles, and faster development.

„The previously loose connection between the individual business units has been replaced by much closer cooperation thanks to the move. We are saving time and fuel by bringing the entire company together in one place, except for our car showrooms and sales outlets throughout the country, as well as in the Czech Republic and Slovenia, and our wholesale offices abroad. Teamwork and information flow will be much more efficient in the shared headquarters, as there will no longer be a need to travel between physically dispersed locations. If colleagues need to discuss something, they can simply sit down in a meeting room or in one of the inspiring communal areas over a cup of coffee. We have had a challenging year and a half, but now we have a solid foundation on which to build for the future. On the one hand, the move will help us achieve a unified corporate culture that strengthens our position as a large company, and on the other hand, it will bring us closer to our specific business goals, such as selling 100,000 vehicles per year within three years” – stated Zsolt Müllner, Chairman of the Board of AutoWallis, regarding the move.

The new headquarters can accommodate approximately 400 employees working simultaneously on two and a half floors. The office is leased by Wing Zrt., an investor in modern office buildings and residential parks, which belongs to the same Wallis Group as AutoWallis. The structural part of the building was completed by Arkitektor Kft., an interior design company, with unique solutions tailored to the company’s needs, which, in addition to creative design, also took functionality and possible expansion into account. The new headquarters also provides employees with on-site amenities such as a fitness park, outdoor soccer field, and even a rooftop grill terrace.

Facts and interesting details about the move:

  •  AutoWallis developed its new headquarters in collaboration with interior design firm Arkitektor, real estate consultant Colliers Hungary, and NEO Property Services. Once the plans were finalized, the project team spent six months completing the interior design, requiring approximately 70,000 working hours before the new office was ready to move into.
  • 2,140 cardboard boxes were used for the move, which were then selectively collected and transported for recycling.
  • During the move, 1,000 m3 of items were transported to the new headquarters in 64 trips, taking 1,400 working hours.
  • The existing plants from the old premises were brought over to the pleasant new environment, and 320 larger and 400 smaller plants were added to the new office building.
  • AutoWallis’ employees can enjoy an indoor garden of approximately 1,000 square meters, as well as a wide range of wellness and convenience services: thanks to the three- and four-star hotels also located in the building, the TRIBE Table restaurant and café, the Cloud IX Skybar. In addition, the building’s roof terrace features a beach bar with its own show grill and views of Gellért Hill, a rooftop sports field and running track, bicycle and scooter storage, changing rooms and showers, electric car chargers, and a 650-space underground garage with a Parkl digital parking system and dedicated parking spaces.
