Wallis Motor opens a new chapter under the name AutoWallis: Hungary’s leading BMW dealership gets a makeover
2026.03.13.
AutoWallis' Retail Business Unit is introducing the unified AutoWallis brand in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia in 2026. The transformation also affects Wallis Motor, BMW's market-leading domestic dealership, which will now serve its customers under the name AutoWallis. In addition to the name change, the Hungária körút showroom has been completely renovated in line with BMW's own Retail.NEXT global concept, which guarantees a premium, personalized experience with its modern design and spacious showrooms.
A new concept for a premium customer experience
The BMW Retail.NEXT concept represents a complete rethinking of the brand’s retail spaces, which, instead of traditional car showroom sales, focuses on strengthening personalized, experience-based customer relationships.
In addition to showcasing cars, the revamped space focuses on consulting, interactive product presentations, and new forms of customer service. The renovation of the Hungária körút showroom was carried out in line with this approach: the clean design, spacious showrooms and personalized consultation areas facilitate 3D configuration and the discovery of new BMW models. Visitors’ comfort is also enhanced by modern interior design solutions and multifunctional communal areas. The cozy customer service area allows those waiting for their cars to be serviced to spend their time in comfort.
The legacy and future of the Neue Klasse
One of the defining milestones in BMW’s history, the Neue Klasse, played a prominent role at the opening of the showroom. The iconic models of the 1960s ushered in a new era in the brand’s history and fundamentally shaped BMW’s sporty, premium character.
The opening event evoked the past and future of the BMW brand: a classic 1968 1600-2 model was displayed alongside the new generation Neue Klasse. Together, the two cars symbolized the arc that leads from one of the most important innovation eras in BMW’s history to the brand’s electric and digital future.
New name, same quality
The renewal is not only visible in interior, but also in the brand: the former Wallis Motor will now operate under the name AutoWallis.
The renaming is part of a comprehensive regional strategy, under which AutoWallis will operate its retail network in Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia under a single brand name throughout 2026. The integration affects nearly 60 sales outlets in 15 cities across the three countries.
The aim of the change is to strengthen AutoWallis’ presence in the Central and Eastern European car retail and mobility market, while local dealerships will continue to operate with their usual expertise and premium customer service.
“Just as the Neue Klasse is ushering in a new era for the BMW model range, the Hungária körút showroom is also opening a new chapter: we continue to welcome our customers in a renewed environment, under a new name, but with the same high quality. We will continue to uphold our vision and values of ‘Being First’: with new models, a modern interior, and now a new name, AutoWallis, we guarantee the highest level of customer service,” said Sándor Mátrabérci, managing director of Wallis Motor.
