In line with its strategic targets, AutoWallis is continuing to strengthen its presence in vehicle retail after coming to an agreement on Lexus sales. The leading integrated car sales and mobility service provider in the Central and Eastern European region opened its first Lexus dealership in Győr, increasing the number of brands represented by the company to thirty.

The AutoWallis Group, listed on the Prime Market of the Budapest Stock Exchange, continues to strengthen its domestic retail position after securing an agreement for the sale of Toyota’s premium Lexus brand. AutoWallis’s first Lexus dealership opened in Győr, helping AutoWallis to continue to grow its market share in the premium passenger car segment. The 360 square meter Lexus car sales and service center includes a repair service point in addition to a showroom. The step is in keeping with AutoWallis’s strategic objective of continuing to grow via business development as well as organic growth and acquisitions. Péter Antal, head of AutoWallis’s Retail Business Unit, explained that the agreement is an important milestone in the history of the AutoWallis Group, as the cooperation between the company, present in 17 countries in the region, and Lexus increases the number of brands it represents to thirty and continues to bolster its market presence in the premium vehicle segment. Western Hungary has significant purchasing potential and the demand for premium vehicles is increasing year after year—it is these market trends and economic factors that led to the decision to choose Győr. The automotive company registered on the Hungarian stock exchange has already devoted special attention to the region: AutoWallis Inicál has been selling vehicles and offering related services in four large cities (Győr, Mosonmagyaróvár, Sopron, Szombathely) for decades and chose Győr as well for opening the first BYD sales point outside of Budapest this spring. Péter Antal added that the company plans to expand in a number of other regions in the country and is looking for other development opportunities.
