After obtaining the distribution rights for Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia, AutoWallis and Salvador Caetano are taking the next step in Slovenia by opening the first AutoWallis XPENG dealership in the country. The showroom of one of the most innovative new energy vehicle manufacturers is planned to open at the end of January 2026 in Trzin, further strengthening AutoWallis’ position in the regional retail market.

Announced this September, AutoWallis acquired the distribution rights for XPENG in Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia, together with its Portuguese partner, the Salvador Caetano Group. The experience and knowledge of this partnership ensure the highest level of services and customer centricity for the newly launched Chinese EV brand in the 3 Central-European markets.

Since then, two pop-up stores have already been opened by the partnership, one in Budapest, Hungary and another one in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Both locations showcase the new, stylish and rapid-charging XPENG G6 and the premium G9 SUV models, while offering the opportunity to participate in onsite test drives as well. Founded in China in 2014, XPENG aspires to become a global leader in AI mobility, with the mission to drive the Smart EV revolution through cutting-edge technology, shaping the future of mobility.

Péter Antal, AutoWallis’ Retail Business Unit Director, highlighted that “Opening this dealership is a significant step in strengthening AutoWallis’ position in the regional retail market by launching a new energy brand that not only holds huge potential but also represents a shift towards more sustainable mobility solutions. We could not wish for a more promising opening of the upcoming year”.

AutoWallis added retail business to their Slovenian distribution presence in 2020, which provides comprehensive market overview and serves as a perfect basis for future growth. The Jaguar, Land Rover, Opel, Farizon and XPENG brands are handled by the Distribution Business Unit, while the Retail Business Unit exclusively operates MINI and Land Rover dealerships, additional to the BMW, Opel, Toyota, Suzuki and soon XPENG dealerships in the country.
