AutoWallis starting preparations for more green projects
2025.10.09.

The AutoWallis Green Finance Committee has once again prepared its annual Green Bond Allocation and Environmental Impact Report on the use and environmental impact of the revenue received from the HUF 6.6 billion in green bonds issued by the company in 2021. Committed to sustainable operations, the company has made decisions on the use of close to HUF 4.3 billion and has initiated the preparation of a number of new green projects.
One of the main objectives of the AutoWallis Group’s strategy is to implement sustainable green projects, in the interest of which it was the first company listed on the Prime Market of the Budapest Stock Exchange to develop a Green Finance Framework. AutoWallis’s recently published Green Bond Allocation and Environmental Impact Report, covering the one-year period ending with June 30, 2025, reveals that the company, present in 17 countries in the region, has made decisions on the use of HUF 4.3 billion in funds, pertaining to, among others, the energy developments and modernization of Hungarian and Slovenian dealerships and the acquisition of low-emission vehicles for mobility services, in the reviewed period. Among others, sources derived from green bonds were used to renovate the region’s newest Jaguar and Land Rover dealership on Váci út, which now has an A++ energy rating; green resources were also used to refurbish the Sixt technical headquarters in Vecsés, which included, for example, the installation of 11 Mode 3 EV charging stations and 1 dual Mode 4 EV charging station along with the installation of modern LED lighting.
The AutoWallis Group also used the available green funds to improve its Slovenian sites: significant energy savings were realized by replacing the doors and windows at the Celovška 182 site in Ljubljana and by updating the lighting technology at the Trzin and Nova Gorica sites. Of the domestic projects already under way, the development project in Építész utca being carried out by AW Property Kft., a member of the Group, has entered a new phase: with the closing of the licensing and planning phase, the execution design may also be finalized by the fall of 2025. According to the plans, AutoWallis will be building a multi-brand dealership and repair center, for which the Green Finance Committee approved the use of additional green funds for a grand total of HUF 1 billion in the period covered by the report. Regarding the publication of the report, AutoWallis Plc. Investor Relations Director Gábor Székely explained that they are continuously examining investment possibilities that support the effective use of the previously raised green funds and thereby the AutoWallis Group’s sustainable operations, increasing the environmental awareness of its services.
