AutoWallis opens Renault and Dacia dealership in Debrecen

2025.11.26.

The AutoWallis Group has opened its latest Renault and Dacia dealership in Debrecen. This move is in line with the strategic goal of the region's leading integrated car and mobility service provider, which aims to continue growing through organic expansion and acquisitions as well as business development. Debrecen is a key target for AutoWallis, with the company recently announcing the opening of a BYD dealership.

AutoWallis, listed in the Prime Market of the Budapest Stock Exchange, has opened its latest Renault and Dacia dealership and service center in Debrecen. The integrated dealership and service center, located on Balmazújvárosi út on a site covering nearly one hectare, features a 600-square-meter showroom and an eight-bay service, paint and body shop, enabling it to provide a full range of services to its customers in the eastern Hungarian region.

Péter Antal, AutoWallis Retail Business Unit Director, said that the opening of the Renault and Dacia showroom and service center in Debrecen fits well into the AutoWallis strategy, which aims to further strengthen its presence in the Central and Eastern European region through organic growth, acquisitions, and business development, including Hungary. The newly opened sales and service center in Debrecen further strengthens the company’s retail position in the domestic car market.

The expansion into eastern Hungary followed AutoWallis, which represents 30 brands in 17 countries in the region, operating Renault and Dacia dealerships in Győr, Sopron, and Mosonmagyaróvár since 2020, and then acquiring the exclusive Hungarian import rights for the Renault, Dacia, and Alpine brands in 2022 in cooperation with its Portuguese partner, the Salvador Caetano Group. Subsequently, in 2024, the two groups opened their first Renault and Dacia dealership in the capital. AutoWallis’ expansion in eastern Hungary is not new; in August, the company announced that its BYD car dealership in Debrecen would open its doors by the end of the year.
